Prairie was created in honor of my mother's Ottawa and Choctaw ancestors that migrated to Missouri and Kansas during the times of Indian removal and homesteading. This track, Prairie, was created after traveling through Osage City, Cottonwood Falls and Council Grove, KS following components of the Santa Fe Trail, where my Ottawa and Choctaw ancestors worked the fields with white settlers. It's intent is to capture both worlds, the wildness of the Prairie and to relay in auditory terms, what my soul heard during that trip.
